Jan Kegelberg holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Syracuse University and a MBA from the Ross School of Management at University of Michigan.
As Head of International Sales of a German construction material company he was responsible for building and managing distribution partner networks in the former USSR as well as Central and East Europe. After his MBA in 1998 he worked for The Boston Consulting Group with multi-national companies in the industrial and financial sector on topics of restructuring and Ebusiness strategy.
Later he became VP of Operations/Logistics for the Internet startup zooplus AG in Munich, Germany. For the category leader in pet supplies he was responsible for designing, implementing and managing the European eFulfillment operations, which received the “German Internet Award” in 2001 and 2002 as well as the „Best Practice Logistics Recognition“ by DHL Fulfillment in 2001.
He then became CEO of “Ambitious Bytes GmbH” a technology startup in the field of video streaming before becoming Director Incubation Management at betafabrik, where he developed new digital business concepts and headed their incubation process.
In his current position as Director Ecommerce Development at Otto Group Russia (OGR) he is responsible for defining, launching and growing OGR’s new Ecommerce initiatives. In parallel he is CEO of eSolutions, the Ecommerce service company of OGR.
