PosteItaliane draws the digital path for the future of the country PosteItaliane is the largest organisation in Italy offering integrated services ofmail, logistics, parcel delivery, eCommerce, collection and payment, financialservices, insurance, mobile telephones, and digital communication throughoutthe country to families, businesses, and public administrations. In 2015, the total revenues of the Poste ItalianeGroup, including insurance premiums, grew by 7.8% compared to the same periodof the preceding financial year, to reach € 30.7 billion.
Starting on 27 October 2015, the shares of Poste Italiane werelisted in the Mercato Telematico Azionario (MTA) [Italian on-line stockexchange] organised and managed by Borsa Italiana SpA. The overall sale offerinvolved about 35.3%.

Financial and insurance services, mail,and parcels

PosteItaliane is a leader in the payments, savings, and insurance services. Itmanages sums of € 476 billion (+3.1%compared to 2014). The insuranceservices are offered by the Poste Vita Group, a leader in Italy, with actuarialreserves of € 100.2 billion (€ 87.1 billion in 2014). The 13.5 million Postepaycards issued fuelled the development of digital payment instruments (Postepay Evolution, individual with IBAN, reached thetarget of two million cards issued in 18 months). Themail, logistics, and parcel and express courier activities have alwaysconstituted the identity and mission of Poste Italiane, which also provides theTotal Coverage Service. The processing of mail and parcels is monitoredcontinuously until delivery. The 28,000 letter carriers are equipped with amobile terminal with digital signature capability and make available a broadrange of postal and financial services at home.

A leading role in the digitaltransformation of the country

Recently Poste Italiane initiated theprocess of digital conversion and renewal of the post offices by rolling outWi-Fi connection in over 900 post offices and opening 18 multilingual countersdevoted to "New Italians" throughout Italy. The Company alsolaunched applications that make it possible to easily carry out many postal andfinancial transactions through mobile devices. In addition, at the 5,737 postoffices where the Sportello Amico [Friendly Desk] is in operation, it ispossible to pay local taxes and INPS [social security] contributions, obtaincadastral surveys, renew the residency permit, and, in some cities, obtaincivil registry certificates.
